The OURWORLDMUSIC.COM model hinges on conscious consumers supporting the artist they appreciate by purchasing their music from OURWORLDMUSIC.COM, so that an artist can actually make money, sustain themselves, and create more music. The existing distribution model has made it difficult for most artists to do this, but the age of the internet changes this fact. OURWORLDMUSIC.COM wants the consumer to know we appreciate them and recognize their place in our mutually beneficial relationship. We expect the artists to be aware and appreciative of it as well. The recognition and respect for this relationship is the only thing that will reduce unauthorized downloading and transmission, and create the right model we are striving to, and begin the mobilization we were created to.

The OWM business model is to create a right marketplace for exchange, and to mobilize the users of this market to bring about social betterment. OWM is a revenue generating business model for the financing of social betterment iniatives and programs. OURWORLDMUSIC.COM was designed as a tool for artists and to create the most possible ways for consumers and creators to connect.

HOW DOES OURWORLDMUSIC.COM WORK?
OURWORLDMUSIC.COM believes that the more a consumer knows about the artist and the more connections and associations they can make with them, make it more likely they will support and purchase the artist's music. An OURWORLDMUSIC.COM Artist Account consists of a customizable page devoted to the artist and their music, where songs, videos, and a sixty second Artist Introduction Video of the artist talking about themselves and their musical project can be listened to and viewed. The artist's merchandise, electronic press kit, website information, ring tones, message board, and events calendar can be displayed. Other features include, private messaging, group and private chat rooms. Mail, newsletter, and contact management tools are also available to all artist and users of the OWM website.
The OURWORLDMUSIC.COM non-exclusive distribution agreement stipulates all the artist on OWM receive eighty percent (80%) of the net revenue from the sell of all of their material.
Accounting statements and royalty payouts will be made quarterly. The termination of the agreement is at the artist discretion at any time.
On OURWOLDMUSIC.COM users pay eleven dollars ($11) for twelve (12) credits. A Full Album costs six (6) credits. Single Song downloads cost one (1) credit. Music Videos and Ringtones two (2) credits. Consumers are given free credit incentives to support OWM Artist and buy buying credits in volume.

- All MP3 files should be 192 kbps Variable Bit Rate and include ID3 Tag encoding
- Album art must be a JPG file, less than 600 pixels wide. Use original digital artwork if possible
- Music Video(s) should be MP4 and FLV files*
- Artist Introduction Video should be a FLV file
*MP4 files are purchased and downloaded. FLV files are played and viewed on the website. Music Videos must have both files to be uploaded.
Artist Introduction Video - The one minute motion clip of you talking about yourself and your musical project gives the consumer more information about you, and more ways to make a connection with you. The clip can be shot in any format, and converted and uploaded as a FLV file. You can speak on whatever you like in the clip. Some suggestions of basic information to include; your name, area representing and living, style of music you create and why, your influences, how you got started and how you got to where you are now, ultimately what your goals are with your music, and your thoughts and appreciation for the fans and consumers of your music.
